The Delphi Group, on behalf of Canadian National, has successfully developed a GHG offset protocol under the Alberta GHG emissions trading system. The protocol, which received formal approval in June, allows freight shippers the opportunity to earn GHG offset credits for shifting from truck to lower emission rail transportation. The protocol will be available on-line at www.carbonoffsetsolutions.ca in the near future.
