The Delphi Group and partners Golder Associates Ltd. and MacLeod Dixon LLP have been selected by the BC government to prepare some of the first greenhouse gas protocol and project documents in accordance with requirements of the BC Emissions Offset Regulation.

Delphi’s specific role in this on-going work is to develop a standardized method (protocol) for calculating the benefits of switching to less carbon-intensive fossil fuel or renewables for electricity generation in off-grid communities, and to use this protocol to prepare detailed GHG project plans for two such projects.  GHG reductions quantified using the protocol and project documents are intended to be acquired by the BC Pacific Carbon Trust to assist the BC government in meeting its GHG emission reduction goals.
